Materials
Ductile iron body with machined and lapped sole, brass depth adjuster, and adjustable mouth plate. Blade is O1 tool steel, bedded at 12 degrees.
Care
Hone the iron before first cut — it arrives ground flat, not sharpened. Wipe the sole with a rag and a little oil after use. Lay the plane on its side, not face down.
